Hello everyone,

I was given these coins today and while looking at the coins found a 1965 dime but it seems to have a full 180 rotation error.

Can someone confirm if this is normal or something worth keeping a hold of?

The US mint produces circulation coins with 180 degree rotation--obverse to reverse.

Thank you both, From the UK and these are the first US coins I have seen. I wonder why they do this as opposed to non-flipped.

So drunken sailors can tell the difference between their medals and their coins?

(I really don't know.)

Why does the UK drive on the wrong side of the street?

Why UK is on the rong side of the street and not US?

No one is on the wrong side of the street. UK strike coins hundreds of years before US and for those times was much more easier to align the Dies. Also they strike many medals so from this is come the orientation name Medals.

Us Mint decide to strike what we know today Coin Orientation which I believe was for theirs conveniences. US coins and the UK coins are not an international standard. Countries choise as per own conveniences.
