Good evening CCF. This is not the big 72 DDO cent, but I do think it's a nice addition to my collection. Thanks for your comments and opinions. Vista DDO-003

For DDO-003, only the 2 is doubled. The rest is Master Die Doubling. Read more about it here. Scroll all the way to the bottom. http://doubleddie.com/384301.html

Thanks.. It appears that Doubledie.com and Variety Vista have different views. I agree with both at this point. Both consider it a doubled die...just different view points. Always learning something new every time I get on the CCF

I see no doubled die here. Early stage master die doubling but nothing else seems to be going on. That said, even with the most excellent images provided, there is a bit of a shadow above the horizontal bar of the 2 in the date where some minor doubling could be hiding.

Of note, a DDO die number and a WDDO die number may or may not be the same die. Sometimes the attributors match them up, other times they don't.

Thanks to all for the information. I think I now have a better understanding of hub doubling and especially in 1972. Does the attached photo look like the doubled 2..

I agree with TB on Master Die Doubbling which it is present on both WDDO 001 and WDDO 003. The DDO oo3 it is on the digit 2 and the DDO 001 on Liberty light spread. Here the example of 001. I can not see the Liberty well.

That looks more like a couple of die dents or gouges.

An very early DDO WDDO-003? Could be. I stay and wait the Liberty pics.
