Well, I've noticed that in the Loomis penny boxes that I've gotten lately, the rolls appear to be uneven. Some are taller and some are shorter. Now I haven't actually counted how many are in each roll, but this is the first time I've seen this, and I've done many, many boxes before. I've also noticed that in the recent RFT videos, he's been noticing the same thing. Could this be a recent Loomis quality control issue? I mean, I'm doing pennies, but imagine if it were half dollars, and you're shorted $0.50 (or more) in multiple rolls. That can add up real quick!

Has anyone else noticed this as of late?

Cheers!

The rolls have been wonky for some time now for me, maybe a year. I have never taken time to count though, they don't seem light, just not crimped well. Here is something else I recently posted but would think this was more of a mechanical issue with the coin separator.

My last box had 29 dimes spread throughout the rolls.

Interesting. Since there are a number of Loomis coin handling/distribution centers scattered about, I wonder if this is a uniform issue across all facilities, or just a few? I haven't noticed anything with Loomis rolls I obtain in my geographic area. Will keep my eyes open.

Nice haul of dimes by-the-way...

Interesting. Sounds like an issue on their end.

I've also been finding more dimes, though nowhere near as many as you got. I used to never find dimes in Loomis rolls, so this is definitely different.

Cheers!

I have not seen many issues or heard of them here in Atlanta.... as a branch manager in a bank, I would hear if there were issues in the field with what the merchants/customers are getting and I have not heard of any discrepancies. I have only been searching halves and nickels the last few months and have not had anything but a foreign coin jump in from time to time.... I have been far more active in paper money over the last 60-90 days....

I'm west of the Rockies, so maybe it's regional. I believe RFT is in Texas.
