Hello, I'm curious to hear what folks think about a feature I noticed on the reverse of this coin. One of the sections of the globe next to Roosevelt has what appears to be scrapes or ridges, but don't seem (to this novice) to be damage. Thanks in advance for any knowledge and input!

When I see lots of raised parallel lines I think of die scrapes, perhaps due to Feeder Finger Damage. Seems like that is mostly on cents though so I'm interested to see what others think.

Those presses do not have Feeder Fingers. The O and R show late stage of Dies. The lines on Reverse is due to internal heat of the die combined with an developing fracture. The Observe show also an small Die crack left of the lips.

That is Feeder Finger Damage - has to be. It looks like all other FFD to me. This argument is getting old - time to bring in Mike to settle this.

As most others have said, this is damage from a feeder/ejector. Contra Silviosi, Schuler presses do use rotary dial feeders.

Thanks Mike to intervine. But for the third generation of the Shuler presses in 2023? (I have limitive informations) I have notes for the second generation with mixed, and for the third generation just an like memo as the all feeder finger to be out due to decalibration of the presses in case of anomalies(malfunctions).

I am not able for the moment to go to see in person, just to read what they look for or state?
