Hello all. I mainly collect US coinage but I got this 2017A $10 bill today and I always look and noticed the serial first. It is PH16999993A. I'm not sure what other identifying marks I should add. On the reverse I also noticed ink bleeding through from the serial, the H8, and the seal on the top/middle right reverse. Also ink bleeding below US TREASURY in the OL and just below of DOLLAR and just above OF AM(ERICA). Is the bleeding or over-saturation a normal occurrence? Does the 5 consecutive 9s add value? Lastly I noticed blue and red hair/thread like pieces throughout, maybe a handful. What are those? Sorry for long post. Thank for advice or direction on where to answer these.
What you're seeing on the back, the H8 and partial serial number is called embossing. It's considered desirable. The red and blue threads scattered throughout are silk threads and one of the security features of the note. The 5 consecutive 9s are kinda cool but nothing special. The rest of the ultra minor details you've mentioned are normal and well within BEP tolerances.
