I suspect this is part of the Master die doubling, but I'll wait for others on this. Do you have a picture of LIBERTY?

You don't need pictures of LIBERTY, you can see the slopes on the B and R in the full coin pic. It's the doubled master die.

Crater,
It is master die doubling not a doubled die.
First thing to do when you think you found a doubled die is check all three reference sites for a match. Then post your question here on CCF with an attribution number you think it might be. Also, it would help if you told us which one it might be, a DDO or a DDR in your title and told us where you are seeing doubling. By the way, very nice photos

kurdlezuit, sorry I did not put this up last night. Here is what I was referring to. The doubling is actually on the inside of the loops of the B and R but a much easier way to detect the master doubling is to look for the obvious downward slope on the outside of the letters. You can typically see this even on the most circulated coins. There are other pick up points on "IGWT" but this is my quick go to.

Now there are still some doubled 2's with this doubled master die but none of the major doubled dies. The doubled 2's are thought by some to actually be due to re-engraving or touching up of the die. Hopefully this helps a little.

Makecents.. This is very helpful. I always dread going through 72 cents. But with that tip, it will make it much quicker and easier.
Thank you

Some folks still do not see what I'm referring to but it sticks out like a sore thumb to me and does make searching 72's much easier. Glad it was of help.
