Welcome @Abcdefuthen, don't quote me or spend until someone else chimes in ...If I remember correctly it's a Texas Cent someone put probably leather under and over then hit with hammer. I have one of those lovely pieces myself lol.

@abc, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes creating a Texas Cent is one way to have a coin which is larger in diameter then it should be. What is the diameter of yours? Also, I note that when this is done to a copper-plated zinc cent (such as were made in 2002), the copper plating tends to come off leaving behind the grey-colored zinc core.
