I found several errors on both the obverse and reverse of this coin and wanted to get some expert opinions on my identifications and descriptions of them. Please let me know if any are incorrect. Pic 3 - Obverse. Die chips in the 9, last 5 and the bottom of the "S" mintmark. Pic 4 - Obverse. Die crack starting at Lincoln's shoulder traveling towards 3:00 for a short distance and then curving down and traveling towards the 6:00 position stopping just short of the rim. Pic 5 - Reverse. Right side bottom portion of wheat stalk, Retained Cud die crack with 3 Cuds. Pic 6- Reverse. Small die crack in midsection of left side wheat stalk. Please let me know if anyone sees something I missed or if you disagree with any of my identifications or descriptions.

All good but for your pic 5 description. I don't think this area of the lower right wheat becomes a pre Cud until after a die chip appears in the upper section of the first 5 of the date. But it does become RCD-1C-1955S-07R at some point, just seems like your coin isn't quite there yet. And no Cuds, just more die chips.

I also see a possible BIE die crack between lower B and E, but no die chip.

I agree with the above descriptions. No Cuds since the chips aren't touching the rim. I do see a faint die chip on the face of the upper right vertical on the last 5.

In Pic 5 there is a crack that breaks from the main crack and goes all the way to the rim. The main crack continues on, and it goes all the way to the rim also but further down. I have an arrow pointing at it, but it is in the wrong spot. My apologies. The last arrow at the bottom should be a little further down. The crack is very faint, but it is there. Here is another pic of it. I added black arrows. It is still not the best picture of it. Bad lighting!

By the way, nice photos. San Francisco minted '55 wheat cents are known for having all kinds of interesting issues--same for '53 as well.

Sorry was in the process of sending that last response while you guys were responding. I see what you are talking about pic 5 as far as no die chips touching the rim so no Cud.

Nice pics - but these are not errors, just die mishaps, most of them common for the era.

They are "Die Errors", as opposed to Minting Errors or Die Varieties. Minting Errors are one-off items. Die Varieties show up on every coin from that die. Die Errors show up on every coin after the error happened, so they are more rare than Die Varieties in aggregate.
55-S is my favorite issue to search for errors and varieties.
