I visited the Gallery of Numismatic at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History recently. Here are some photos of their classic US coins. Please excuse the quality of the images, it was a busy day and was not able to spend too much time getting the perfect shot.

Is their 1913 Liberty nickel on display? Would love to go back there someday and go straight to the coins.

Nice job on the photos. I sure would like to see the reverse on the 1804 dollars and the 1933 $20. The Peace dollar is a 1923.

Yes, but here is the only photo I took, original resolution (only cropped) along with the 1974 aluminium cent. I intended to get the closeup shots of each on my second pass, but forgot.
