no mint mark means it was minted in Philadelphia. What you're seeing are stains
Errers and Varietys.

This coin was found in a jar my father had in his dresser for atleast 50yrs, so no it was not cleaned how you see it is how it came out of the jare with 20 more 1964 kennedys and they all look like this. sorry. also not a stain you can feel the rise of the letter D.

Somebody cleaned it at some time because it didn't leave the mint with all those hairlines on the surfaces. Current melt value is $8.63

Thump!; You say the mark next to the six is a Mint Mark because you can feel a ridge on it. Put a drop of dirty water or oil, ect.. on a mirror, let dry and there will be a ridge on that as well. That mark is a stain.

It was likely cleaned, damaged, scratched before it was put in the jar. By the 6 it looks more like an O to me, it is damage, either a stain, dark residue or was hit with something that left the circle. One side of the O is more straight but It's not a D made at the mint, not a mint mark, sorry. It's 90% silver so that's good. Very nice pics.
