Quote: 1. Continue to acquire new dated or datable coins from the 15th Century. I currently have 30 years with empty slots, so it would be nice to fill two or three of those. Bonus points if I knock off any dates in the 14th Century. 2. Continue to acquire coins datable to a single decade. From present times going back to the year zero AD, I've got 22 empty slots. I'd like to fill four or five of those. 3. Only slightly out of scope for this discussion: be the best CCF moderator that I can be! Half-year update: Two years added for #1 One decade added for #2 Still working on #3...

3rd Quarter ends Monday, so get your reports ready! As for me, I got lucky today! My final PCGS Ike (Item #2 on the list) showed up on ebay this morning and I snagged it. Have a tracking number, should be here Monday.

Congrats! I just landed a coin in the Kunker auction (5:50 a.m. or so), so I am done for third quarter and can do my report this weekend.

Here is my Q3-2024 update: Quote:
1. Kingdom of The Netherlands type set. 2. Set of Provincial Coins (Utrecht) from The Dutch Republic. 3. Symphony Set of Coins (formerly "Set of Coins of Composers"). 4. International Birthyear Set Collection. 5. Medals from Utrecht.
Only one commemorative coin is still missing from my Dutch type set. Once it shows up, the set is complete. Regarding #2, I plan to join several auctions in the future to hopefully expand that set. Recently bought a few coins for the Symphony Set. Will be shown on CCF when they have arrived. Same for #4. Unfortunately, haven't seen any medals from Utrecht lately that I like.

@NumisEd, is there a place here where you are posting your Utrecht province type set? And I'm curious if it's a "denomnation" set (2, 6, 10 stuiver, guilder, 3 guilder, leeuwendaalder, rijksdaalder, etc.) or a more extensive type set?

@tdziemia, I am planning to assemble a Denomination Set of Utrecht, one of each type. Otherwise, it becomes too costly. I have not yet posted these coins in a dedicated thread. I should do that soon, however.

My 3Q update:
1. Continue to add early dated/datable coins in the 1400s, 1300s and "decade coins" earlier. 1Q/2Q: Dated 1473 (Deventer); Florence grossos dateable to 1424, 1453 and 1487; Cologne weisspfennig (1383); Brabant coins dateable to 1377, 1382,1430. 3Q: Added a dated 1471 (Deventer)
2. Continue to grow collection and knowledge of saints on medieval coins. Last year I added 15 in this theme. 1Q/2Q: St. George (Antioch), St. Simeon (Trier), Mary Magdalen (Papal) St. Anselm (Mantova), St. Appolinaris (Ravenna), St. Antoninus (Piacenza), St. Nicholas (Desana) 3Q: St. Prosdocimus (Padua) and a Danish penning with a St. Michael.
3. Continue work on Numista catalog. 1Q/2Q: Added about 300 new coins to the catalog (now at 1447). Very active buidling the medieval sections of a number of Italian city states: Genoa, Cremona, Padua, Trento, Aquileia. Also added a lot to Crusader States/Rhodes. 3Q: Added another 80 (medieval Low COuntries and Italy), now at 1529
I'd like to get a bit more disciplined about my spending. 1Q/2Q. At about the same point I was same time last year. 3Q. About same.
