look at the star on all of my 64 nickels that I own the r on the 62 and all of that road kill ? on the 62 and 84 nickel but they are worth nothing ?

at least 30 percent of my nickels in that era 50's thru 80's are mangled
but are worth squat ?

Yes the 1962 nickel is badly damaged. Both show some signs of having been struck with tired dies and are just worth face value.

Agree with all above. Die Deterioration on the '64, much post-strike damage on the '62.

The first thing for you to learn is, if you have a scratch, groove, ding, or any other mark on a coin that has a corresponding buildup of metal to go along with it, 99.99% of the time it's damage. Errors are not a common thing. Sometimes you search hundreds of coins before you find a keeper. It's not an error unless it happens at the mint.
