Still playing with getting decent images of silver coins. This one came in today so I decided to have a go at it. Still not really where I need to be but learning.
The reverse is a class VI doubled die, showing "extreme" thickness across most of the devices and the stems. It's obvious when you see it, as letters like the Q have a giant top and skinny bottom. The second S in STATES is another good place to see the distortion. That S is somewhat swan-like, having a plump body with a long thin neck and head.
