Generally I don't like proofs. I've disposed of way too many modern proof sets from an estate. But I like this PF61. It looks better in hand. Difficult to photograph because of the field's mirror reflection.   "Two minutes ago I would have sold my chances for a tired dime." Fred Astaire

I think it looks GREAT, and I love the strike.
I'm actually quite fond of old proof coins, and prefer often using those in my Type Sets, compared to Business strikes. First, because of the flashy mirrors and deeper strikes, the eye appeal of proofs are often better than their Mint State counterparts. Second, proofs often display contrast on the motif's, so you can get a Cameo or Deep Cameo effect. Proofs often look the way their designers envisioned they would look as they came off the press. Finally, at the mid and high end uncirculated grades, surprisingly a Proof coin is often less expensive than a Mint State coin in the same grade. Additionally, it's not unusual to be able to buy a Proof coin with a CAM suffix for only a few dollars more than a proof in that grade without that suffix.

I picked it for the sharpness of the strike and the even unmottled appearance Winesteven. It has no blotchiness or unusual coloration. The reverse is stunning.

Yes, a great coin! I'm not good at grading, especially from photos, but it looks better than 61.

In hand the coin does not look this dark. It was hard to suppress reflection of nearby objects, especially the iPhone itself. I'm not interested in regrading it. The obverse has some scratches (die polishing?).

Very nice! Agree it's very tough to photograph proofs like this. The light cabinet friction marks on the obverse might be why it got a 61. Great looking specimen!

More for show John1. The comments on friction marks and scratches explain the grade. Low and sub MS proofs sell for a fraction of mid and high MS, but the appearance is good enough to satisfy me.
