Obv has some decent detail, but I'm hoping that you are also picking up a couple large cents in even better shape. Are you building a date set?

I'm putting a low grade date set together minus, 1793, 1799, 1804, if I had a blank check I would buy way better unfortunately I don't, I really like worn coins it shows history.

Now I will buy nice graded stuff though from like the 1850s just don't have any at the moment.

That will work for a low grade set. Good hole filler until another one comes along at a reasonable price.

I like the wear and the overall coin, but it looks to have a colorful sheen I have seen on other large cents. Hopefully it will go away at some point.

The 23/2 overdate carries the premium, but in my experience it's easier to find than the "plain" 1823 cents such as this one. Nice circulated example.
