I found this nickel and noticed a honey comb design on the back of it. Anyone seen anything like this. Wray could it be and is there value in it.

Interesting. The coin may have been in contact with a material or substance which resulted in a 'pattern' transfer. Others will be along to comment.

Maybe something dried on it slowly and left a pattern of residue.

Moist cloth on it then dried or even a cup holder coin. Something like that.

That's what I was thinking, it was some kind of stain. I tried cleaning it with water mixed with a little baking soda and a soft toothbrush but It didn't do anything to it. On the front you can barely see it. Not enough for me too get a good picture.
