*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

Hello everyone! Thank you guys for taking the time to answer my questions. So the other day I posted a coin and most of you thought it was a Dryer Coin? Well I found these two dimes the other day on the ground and wanted to ask, are these good examples of Dryer Coins if not, what caused this? Sorry for the duplicates.

Dee123, those do not look like Dryer Coins. More like anger management coins - there's no way to tell exactly how they were damaged.

Heavy mechanical damage on these, but they don't look quite the same as Dryer Coins, with their heavy rims and central wear on both faces.

Not Dryer Coins, but both are heavily damaged. PMD. Only worth face value.

to the CCF The dime looks like it was ran through some kind of knurlier. I call both of them lawnmower coins.

If you click on the highlighted words => Dryer Coin <= you'll be taken to a page with a description of how Dryer Coins come to be and examples of what they typically look like.
