Hi. I am trying to find out if this real or some strange fantasy item?

I'll go with strange fantasy item. The castles and the shield are unlike any real cob from any of the mints. It might be worth more than melt if it's folk art, but it looks mass produced. One of the lions in the shield looks like a squirrel. Another one looks like a monkey. The pendant attachment looks like part of the casting.

I am not sure about the rest but the pendant seems to have been welded.

Obviously not any genuine regal piece. Design elements aren't really exact to ANY particular coin of any Spanish mint or era - just sort of "generally imitative of the design".

The overall "fabric" of the piece (neat engraving, knowledge of legend inscriptions) is modern rather than "contemporary counterfeit" (fake of that time). Not a piece I've seen before so I don't think it's any kind of mass-produced numismatic replica out of the USA or Europe. While it possibly could be a Central American-type pendant, I would guess it's someone's fairly well-done garage project.
