I'll say AU-50 - definitely not worth grading.

Nice looking Morgan dollar, but I agree, not worth grading. In general, the estimated value should exceed $150.00 to compensate for grading, insurance, and shipping costs.

Looks like it was harshly cleaned. AU details worth around $30.

Nice looking coin,but 1881-S is known for a lot of high grades.
Your coin looks cleaned and maybe polished a bit? You didn't do that did you?

This is a circulated coin that has been cleaned/polished. Its value is now tied to silver bullion with little to no numismatic premium.

the coin has been cleaned and polished. since it is a quite common coin it really has no collector value premium.

just for future reference, scrap the idea of slabbing coins. there is only 2 reasons to do that

1. its a rare coin that needs authenticated and preserved
2. the coins value is no less than $150-200 and you are planning on selling it

heres why

the cost of grading a coin will chew up most of the value of a coin. consider PCGS. their subscription fee is $69, add the grading fee. minimum $22 then add shipping and insurance both ways. you're into it for about $100. you can purchase a higher subscription which provides some grading vouchers to lower that cost but not by much.

Just to add to Panzaldi's comment, sometimes coins like Morgan dollars have VAMs that can add value to them even if they aren't that rare. I don't know of any VAMs for this coin though. But it has clearly been cleaned so I agree it's not worth grading.

This coin does not look that bad to me and I'm on the edge of cleaned and not cleaned.
