I found almost all the coins in one roll have the same type of wear on the die , these pictures are of only 3 of them ,even some have on the obverse going around the face of Lincoln but not the outer devices.

Pretty interesting! To me, it looks like extreme Die Deterioration. I wonder if Mike Diamond would be interested in looking at this?

Where did you find this coin? Was it in a set? I can see some hits on a few of the columns. But, yes, the die was very worn when it struck this coin.

Dearborn , I found these coins in an uncirculated roll of 1959 I got from Tropicalbats , the obverse looks just the same but only around Lincoln face , I'll post some more pictures shortly.

here're some pictures of the obverse taken from a different pair of coins from the same roll , it can be seen around the date #'s and on LIBERTY and all around the Lincoln face , hair and vest .

Very cool find! Notice the thickness on the 19 in your date. I found one very similar to yours, for the same reason, a deteriorated die.

makecents thanks , it's very similar , and I think I saw one like that ( not in these roll) that had the same LAM as yours .
