I was looking at this link on coinsandcanada, and I saw a variety of a clipped planchet that I've never seen before. A corner clip. Does anybody have one? Or have a picture of a Canadian example of one?

I'm not sure how a disk can have a corner.

If the planchet is cut from the corner of the strip, as shown in the coinsandcanada article that XWLCoins posted.

That was very interesting read thank you. I didn't think clips were a big thing until one gets a wide variety of them. I had no idea that the higher the grade the more they fetch, and I was giving them away for nothing right out of the mint rolls. HaHaHa.

I found what I believe to be a clipped coin straight from a mint roll;

but it's a very mild clip.

I was collecting the quarters in 1992;
Every month, I went to the bank to get a roll;
One roll had a quarter that didn't have the serrations(?) all the way around - and you could see it through the clear plastic wrap.

I had thought that these errors happened post stamping - something to do with the coin not quite getting out of the way before the next one was stamped?

I am NOT an expert on this stuff.

That was a neat article.

I attended college in 99/00 and unfortunately all my quarter rolls ended up being opened, and all except for a few examples of each were spent so I could eat - but I did keep that one "clipped" quarter (off the top of my head I cannot recall which month/Province it was).

Missing from your examples of clips is the Assay or Inside Corner Clip. I don't have an example on a Canadian coin but do have one on a US Coin. Not sure this type even exists on a Canadian coin. They are rare.
