I have this 1883-O Morgan NGC graded MS 63, no VAM or specialty designation. I was looking at it last night and noticed what appears to be a possible clashed 'E' at the upper left of the bow on reverse. I proceeded to scope it but couldn't really make out any distinguishable 'e' mark.

However, while scoping the rest of the coin and prominent features/places to check, I found numerous indicators that it might possibly be a clashed 'e' VAM. The clash marks above Liberty's head, the pattern in ear, the line in bottom loop of 3, the marks between eagle's wing and body, as well as the position of the O mintmark are all enough to have me seriously question if this is a possible VAM.

I am definitely no amateur numismatic expert. Comparing it to online pictures makes me slightly hopeful but I do not know enough about die clashing and VAMs to definitively ID it or even give me enough cause to submit it for confirmation.

The fact that NGC did not identify it as a VAM is what gives me pause. Maybe the person who submitted it did not ask for any variety diagnostics, just to get it graded? Or is it one of those things where yeah you can probably say it likely is a VAM, but key details too faint to give a 100% identification?

I uploaded a few pictures of it and the areas that warrant a potential VAM ID. If anyone needs a picture of a specific area or clarification on anything, I can definitely do that! I really appreciate any help or commentary on this! Thanks!

99.94% or more of VAMs have no added value, so there is no reason to have them indicated on the slab at an extra fee.

Compare the coin to VAMworld and put a sticker on the slab with the attribution.

Thanks for the welcome! I've been meaning to post on here for years, but so glad I waited until being more learned in coins (for sure would have been the guy posting damaged coins thinking it's a rare error or hey I found a 1964 SMS in my pocket change lol)

Okay thanks for the info! I'll definitely check out VAMworld.
Is there any way to get VAMs professionally confirmed by experts? Only because certain details need to be scoped to confirm so it would seem better to have it included as a designation. Only for the top VAMs I mean. Every Morgan is a VAM technically if I understand correctly.

You may find that this is a LDS of VAM-36A. It may have reverted to e VAM-36 with the very weak E.

You could try VAM world's administrator John Baumgart ("Messy desk")...he runs Variety Slabbing Service (VSS) and his attribution stickers are recognized by all of the Auction Houses.
Here is the Submission form

Here's a discription of how it works...

I've used his service a couple of times and it worked out very well.
I think it's the best bang for your buck if you're not in a hurry.
Check it out and see if this is what you're looking for?
