Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 01/22/2024 10:44 pm Here is another nice coin from the lot of Philadelphia mint 1930s Wheat Cents I purchased on ebay. It has great luster and a bright copper color. The mark across the bottom of Lincoln's bust is a die crack and not a scratch. Please feel free to share your thoughts on this coin. panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18684 Posts	Posted 01/23/2024 08:18 am I'm not convinced the scratch is actually a die crack. based on the photos it appears to be a staple scratch. the only way to tell is in-hand rotating the coin OR give us a close-up straight on and at an angle. fairly clean shoulder and lapel. a little scuff on the forward edge of the lapel i think the obv field scuffs/discoloration along with some small ticks on the high points of the profile will hold this one to MS63+RD Edited by panzaldi 01/23/2024 11:43 am Report this Post to the Staff
