Hi again, all! This was found in CT. I'd have too sit down and really sift thru his treasures and get some pics. He HAS found some pretty cool stuff. I have attached one of the coolest. Not certified but this was found in RI. It's believed to be a coin (made into a pendant, via Mel Fisher) from the Atocha ship that sank back in the 1620's. There is a whole story behind it - how the ship was found (Mel Fisher). My husband took it to three jewelers and they all knew right away what it was and stated that it looked real to them. Of course without get it authenticated, we won't know for sure. Until then - if we ever do get it authenticated - we'd like to believe its part of that shipwreck
Still cool. None the less. Anyways! Thank you for listening!

@des, that is another interesting coin you have there. Since best practice is to start a new thread for each new coin, I've split this off from your other topic and moved this new thread to the appropriate subforum.

Mel Fischer's company is known to make jewelry out of shipwreck coins. Other jewelers/companies may have done so also, I don't know. You could contact Mel Fischer company and ask if they have kept records/photos of their sales, if they could establish provenance for you.
