Not to sure what to make of this one being new and all, besides the obvious I also noticed markings in the beard and by the mouth. Also slight doubling in America and the date.

No need for close-ups. It looks like that cent was mashed, as the dents on the obverse and those on the reverse are in line with each other. PMD.
I'm thinking that something like this was involved.

Your coin is PMD. I also see a minor MAD on the obverse.On the reverse I see DDD and Ridge Ring.Not a doubled die.

Admittedly this does appear to be PMD, but I find it strange that some of the device details are clearly visible in some of the dents. Normally the details on the devices would be obliterated as well if they were caused after the strike. Just my thoughts.
