The holder somewhat resembles the old Blanchard slabs. I would grade your coin a strong 64 with a good shot at 65. Quote:

You cannot create your own grading standards because they are useless and a waste of everyone's time. Here are some beginner tips: 1. MS coins have no wear. 2. But the coin has a lot of field spots and little scratches, which should knock it out of mint state in my opinion. sickpuppy. marks & scratches will not take a coin out of MS range. they will however lower the grade, this is why there are MS60 through MS68 grades. luster and marks will place the coin in one of these boxes. everyone is at a difference level in grading skills and just add this to your knowledge base for the future. hope that helps |
