Ok.. So I'm not at all into quarters and most likely opening a can of worms. I honestly feel that this is an unknown DDO. As you can see, it is slabbed and a proof so getting good, sharp photos is difficult. I first saw what I think is a doubling on the "Quarter Dollar" on the obverse using a 20 power loupe. The photos were taken in natural light and the spread can be seen easily..IMHO. Thanks for your opinion. I'm thinking that proofs were be less likely to have MD or DDO.
That also had doubling lower than the devices. But the doubling was very crisp and showed complete shifted letters. I agree that this one more closely resembles MD, but it's probably worth asking Dr. Wiles or Tanner Scott for their opinion. The Pennsylvania coin was hyper rare and undoubtedly quite valuable.
Thanks Brandmeister. To my old eyes, the 1999 you sent the link to looks more like MD to me or even DDD, but I admit that am not at all an expert. Sure glad I've got you guys to help out.
