Looks fake. The lettering on the back and the lack of detail on the eagle is wrong.

I'm afraid this one is a fake - the details aren't even remotely close to an actual example, either obverse or reverse. Here's what a real one looks like: Images shamelessly ripped from Heritage Auctions, ha.com

I agree with the others- fake. But I will not 'shamelessly' rip photos! That is a good suggestion from SuperDave. You can join Heritage for free and search their archives of previous sales. This is a quite helpful tool. I use it all the time to check for counterfeits, get current valuations.

Heritage is a great resource for comparing details of coins Btw, the coin in the OP's post appears to be an Australian crown--a copy too perhaps? The details on the portrait look a bit weak.

Quote: Btw, the coin in the OP's post is a copy of an Australian crown. Well, it was a 1795 Dollar when I looked at it. He must have uploaded new pics and overwritten the old.

Superdave's picture doen't look much like a real DRAPED BUST small eagle dollar either.

Quote: Superdave's picture doen't look much like a real DRAPED BUST small eagle dollar either. You have a point there. It does, however, resemble a Flowing Hair Dollar rather nicely. Now I don't even remember if the OP was a Flowing Hair or a Draped Bust.

I think you be right SuperDave. It was a flowing hair.

I never saw the OP pictures before he overwrote them, but in his title he called it a draped bust.

I see an Australian Crown dated 1937? What gives, I thought this was supposed to be a Draped Bust 1795?
Maybe I've been hacked?

I can definitively state that the coin shown by the OP is not an authentic 1795 US dollar.
