A freshly noodled error coin .
Long time between drinks since the last one .
Bit beat up but I am still gunna keep it.
I was hoping to keep all the 5 cent coins I noodle so I don't noodle them again ,turns out I am not rich enough to do that but I think I have come close to scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Seems now I am noodling mostly already noodled coins as the finds are drying up.

Nice find crab eater, there is more error coins out there maybe over billion 5 cent coins easily to search through.

Cool coin Crab Eater. Very nice find. I think it's not only the 5c where things are drying up. All of the denominations that I noodle through are producing far less 'goodies' than last year. However, I did find my 2nd $2 firefighter this week so there are still some bonuses out there. Happy hunting.

Is it a broad strike or an off-center strike?

Guys, there's no edge reeding. I assume it's also slightly larger than a normal 5 cent piece?

This isn't a mis-strike or a misaligned die, it's a broadstrike. A broadstrike happens when a coin is struck with the collar die completely missing (either it's broken away, or someone forgot to install it).

Broadstrikes are often off-centre, because there's literally nothing holding the blank in the correct location. Especially with modern gravity-fed machinery, the coin simply keeps moving.
There is no reeding on the rim.

I was wondering if you were still noodling 5c coins or had given it away and switched to NCLT. You have to be a dedicated noodler to come across those

Great find crab eater!

Pity about the condition. I'm suprised that it hadn't been noticed earlier on.
