*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***Hi I was at my friend's yesterday and I was looking through hhis pennies and he gave me this 1975 Lincoln Memorial cent. It looks brand new and if I'm not mistaken it has proof like qualities. Upon further inspection. I noticed that liberty and in God we trust looks odd maybe doubled or something. If you good people could please take some time out of your busy day to tell me about this coin I would greatly appreciate it thank you for your time bless you.

First off, Just a common Philadelphia minted circulation strike cent in high grade, perhaps a MS-63RD from what I see. The issues you see with Liberty and other words is perhaps die wear problems. Also, proofs of this year would have the letter S below the date, so the Philly minted cents can't be proofs

Agree with all above. Could serve as good album hole filler until better comes along.

It has cleaned up really well, hopefully you can find a less worn 1975 penny.

It's the struck "sideways" error.

Tommylew1989... If you feel you have a legit error coin, consider submitting it to a reputable third party grading/attribution service . If you do, please let us know the outcome. Thanks.
