Grabbed this raw off ebay the other day, turns out to be a nice repunched date.

I'm only seeing the doubling on the numbers 8 and 5. With coins struck from earlier stage dies, is the re-punching generally visible across all four digits of the date?

@Spence. Heres a cropped image of the one on NGC and mine. The RPD is across all of the date. It is listed as the repunched date is north of original date. Thanks for checking it out. The best I can tell they have graded 1.

That's a great example! I like the late state die crack as well. Gifford gives the 1865 B18A, as he numbers it, a survival of SR6 with 600 estimated to exist and 55 known to exist at the time of his book. More info here for those interested:

Thanks @apcol258 PCGS has one of these overdates on their photograde section for 111 Cent Nickels with the heavy die cracks.
Thanks for the info! I would love to find of those books but very doubtful! But will still keep an eye out!
