"silver" 1957 Wheat Penny With Errors?

jimmysjunk New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 02/09/2024 01:21 am Hey all! I'm brand new so I hope I don't get picked on too bad here. I've done some googling and reading on the forums but I can't seem to find much about this specific coin. I understand that a lot of coins were used a science experiments back in the day so this may be that but I'm really not sure. It looks like an error coin to me and I was hoping somebody with more knowledge may know a little more about it. I have a great looking 1957 wheat penny(with what looks to be a bad strike on the L). It's silver in color and it sticks to a magnet. It weighs 3.23 grams on my scale. Is this something real or just something weird? I appreciate any input!
