Hi everyone. I found this 1953 Lincoln wheat. I need your help please is this rare coin and there is die chip on the wheat. thank you so much for your help.
A Die Chip, and Die Deterioration Doubling, on the 3 of the date. Very common for the 1950's wheat cents. The U.S. Mint would work the dies, till they broke. Pretty much worked them to death. Your coin is only worth a few cents, since it's a common date.
Fun to find. A worn die for sure as you can see a Ridge Ring developing too beside the die chip and crack. Did the die crack first before the chip happened? Or visa versa......
