Then there are the collectors who ordered the " U S Mint " wrapped coins for the fact of just having them for their collections, there are many types of people who collect for ALL kinds of reasons, Me, I love the hunt and sometimes am attracted to the "Hard to get" coins. We are a assorted bunch, Also I do believe those U S Mint Wrapped coins will bring a stronger premium down the road, just my opinion...

Just a note;

I received my 5 sets from the mint yesterday.

As far as being "the same coin" as bank rolls, I am going to disagree.

These mint wrapped cents seem to have (to me) a much stronger strike and NO spots, whereas the rolls I got in Hodgenville seem weak and are covered with spots.

Plus, when combined with mint wrapped rolls of the three other releases, the price will skyrocket.

Just my Two Cents worth.

Well.....I would like to go my entire life without ever participating in "Ebay" or "Craigslist" or anything else out there "online".......So, I guess I'll be stuck with 3 - Two roll Sets of each design for life !.....

"IF" (and that's a big IF !) I did want to sell them.....it would have to be a coin shop....or an add in the paper or something........and I really doubt a dealer would give me $80.00 for a two roll set !

You opened the sacred U.S. Mint wrapper !.....
And likely lost any extra premium that wrapper may have brought !
For those who hold the "Mint wrapper" in high esteem anyway....
Though that is nice to know that you feel the quality is much better with these, you probably just got lucky with some early strikes. I hope that's true with mine when I get them.....but I'll never see what they look like (individually) because I do not plan on "opening them". !
I'm hoping to find several decent enough quality and quantity in circulation soon.....I hope they're not a substandard quality like what you've been finding !.....

To pontificate a bit overall...
As the "P" mints in any denomination are always rare around here....I don't expect to ever get a "P" Mint in good condition. Combine that with the lowest mintage since the 1950's with this Cent from Philly this year.....I MAY NOT EVEN SEE ONE IN "BAD" CONDITION !
And no banks in this town will get rolls of these AT ALL !.....so....just where am I supposed to get rolls of each Mint if not from THE Mint itself ....?.....build them from circulation ?......if they ever start coming around ?.....and the Philly Mint ?.......No.......the way I see it.....I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO ORDER THEM !....and will continue to.

But, that's just another reason why I wanted the two roll Sets.....and I also believe that there will be nice premium's on these Sets for many decades. Yeah.....it probably won't hold at $80.00 - $100.00 per two roll Set for all that long.....maybe a year or three, and eventually that "bubble" will pop and interest in them will wane......but I don't think it will go down below issue price !.......EVER I HOPE !
I guess I just feel that with the Landmark change in the Lincoln Cent....and this coins popularity seemingly timeless.....that to cull the best one from "pocket change" to put in an album or folder just wasn't/isn't going to cut it for me .....I wanted the two roll Sets of each design "for my collection" !.... And I certainly don't feel "hurt" by the price in the long run AT ALL !
And I get the annual Sets each year regardless so.......(which I'm not going to crack for the true Uncirculated Quality which is different than the business strikes for circulation as we all know nowadays, to put into an album or folder so it can be "mixed" with lesser quality Lincolns.....dunno.....but don't wanna do that!)(my Sets will stay intact with that consideration)
But even if I did "crack em' out".....I STILL WANT MY P&D ROLLS OF THIS NEW LINCOLN. AND SEVERAL ROLLS OF EACH DESIGN TOO ! This, for me, will have nothing whatsoever to do with making albums or folders including these new '09 Cents. That may or may not be a completely seperate action for me, but just doesn't involve my attempts to collect "the rolls" of Mr. Lincoln's much celebrated/much anticipated newly designed coin.

Time will tell........ahhhh the art of the Crystal Ball prediction game........hmmmmm

Do you think it's a coincidence that the US Mint wrapped cents are more pleasing to the eye (less scratches) than the bank rolls?

I have not decided what to do with them. I only paid $19 plus shipping for the two roll P and D set.

Philidelphia is BY FAR the lowest Mintage. They haven't been this low since the 1950's ! ...(as I mentioned above in the 4th or 5th paragraph in my 56 page dissertation on why I want the two roll Sets !.....
I really should try harder to keep my thoughts a little more condensed !.....oops !....
