I have had this token for a few years but I've not been able to find any information on what is/was "Teds Place". There are other tokens from "Teds" but they range from a face value of 5c to 10c then 25c and lastly 50c.Some are made of what appears to brass while others like mine are made of aluminum. Any Opinions? Edited by johnhenry9009 02/27/2024 7:40 pm

johnhenry, there are several tokens from Ted's Place in Durand MI listed on tokencatalog.com but no additional information. Most likely it was a bar. tokencatalog does not have a 25¢ once listed - you should upload yours!

Good job. It is great to add coins to a catalog and have them mentioned.

I found Ted's Place listed as a restaurant and also billiards, at 102 N Saginaw in Durand c. 1930s-1960s. The proprietor was Theodore Paul "Ted" Castle (1900-1968). There is a restaurant located as that address today "Nick's Hometown Grill" and if it is the same location, it may be the same building.

Only living about 20 miles from Durand Michigan, you would think I would have been able to find information on Ted's place but came up empty. Good job Brummagen.
