Today I went to the bank looking for Presidential dollar Rolls but they said that they did not have any, and that they only had mixed rolls of dollars. I decided that I would buy and search through a roll so I got one. The roll was a Black And Yellow Sacagawea Roll that says: "$25.00, Golden Dollars, Directly from the U.S. Mint, https://www.usmint.gov. It is Heads/Tails of 2000 D Sacagawea dollars,Looks like they are uncirculated, and they tend to have the same type/color toning on each end coin. The only reason I ask if this is from the mint, is because my grandmother had one like it, with the same wrapper and with B.U. Coins, and was wondering if all rolls of dollars were like this. Thanks

Yes it is from the mint and probably has a decent premium value over the Dunbar or Sting & Sons OBW rolls. Unfortunately it is a 2000 roll of which there is little interest in that year except for rolls of your kind. So I would say it is probably a 35.00 roll, maybe a little better. These came in a box with a plastic tray and there was a roll of P mint and a roll of D mint coins inside. Wonder where the P mint roll is. I would not open it as the wrapper itself adds the value in this case.

My grandmother has the 2000 P Sacagawea Roll, but she bought it a long time ago at a different bank than I did.

Went to the bank again today. Got 2 more rolls of uncirculated Dollars with the mint wrapping. If anybody needs a roll... or a few coins I might be able to sell them to you.

Sorry for posting so much, forget to say things..... I will open one roll up to see if, and make sure they are brilliant uncirculated and have no toning.

Please let us know the results and how about some pictures?
And if you decide to sell some, post over on the for sale area.
Thanks!

Well I opened one roll, and the coins on the end are nicely toned blue, green, red, orange. All the coins in the roll are brilliant uncirculated, and have original color. The rims are darkened to a red and produces a nice contrast between the main coins faces, and the rims. Very happy!

I could imagine you would be happy.
Can we assume then that the roll contained all of the same date and mintmark?
Now the difficult decision....do you keep them all or sell some.
Also...any pics for us?

Yes all of the coins are 2000D and I can not keep all of them due to the fact that I have a very limited budget and I would like to get some of the newer 2009 releases. I will addd pictures soon.

Very nice pickup Someone or some kid must have gotten hard up for some cash. I dont know about the pricing in 2000 but in the last recent years they have been selling at the mint for 35 bucks

$35.95 plus shipping and handling ( $3.95) for the 2009 P or D Sac roll at the Mint. I wonder if there will be much of a difference between the 2008 and the 2009 Proof prices for the Sacs. If "the change" and losing the N.I.F.C. status will make a "value" difference with this coin or not. I sense that there might not be much of a difference between 2008 BU rolls and 2009 BU rolls.....even several years from now.....but the Proof, I'm curious about !.....
