Do what you gotta do I guess, but gosh. That first one, the way the eagle's head pops out of the dark background, the way the cotton balls and hair curls stand out - it's so beautiful in it's own right, why would you want to mess with it? I don't mind the second one as much, it's ugly.

@kbbpll, I may find an upgrade downgrade for that date/ mm combo, maybe a few others as well at some point. @Coinfrog, it is kind of interesting to think about just where those coins have been, that is part of it, as well as the challenge of finding some dates in low grades. Though for me, I think they are interesting, and most should be relatively affordable, just have to dig a bit for decent examples.

Putting a lowball set together is much harder than someone would think.

Yup. I think the 1921 dated coins will suck, I generally haven't seen any super low graded ones in that date. Others too, just I know those ones didn't have as much time to heavily circulate. My set is coming along smoothly for now, but I know it will get harder along the way. I may find upgrades of a sort for some dates, just so I am not waiting years for them to wear as pocket pieces (of which most will be at one point or another to either wear more, eliminate cleaning, or get rid of ugly toning).
