The last picture is better but you will probably need a good microscope/camera setup to provide sharp images of the date.
It's not the "famous" 1888/7, though (FS-301, Snow S-1.)
The rim
Cud that forms over TED is not present on this coin. Also, the remains of the base of 7 should be clearly visible as a "lump" below the left bottom loop of the last 8 in the date, and it is not.
There are several other varieties of MPD (misplaced date) and RPD (repunched date) for 1888 but they will require inspection with a scope or a good loupe to evaluate, and this coin has surface issues (corrosion) that may make it difficult to distinguish among varieties.
