Bought another 2500 Wheats last weekend and found a few interesting items. Here's one:

This appears to be damage. I don't know what caused the damage, but it does not look like a genuine struck through error.

If not for the damage to the R I would have said that it was pitting rom verdigris that had been removed.

The marks along Lincolns jacket and neck would be consistent with post mint damage. As far as above the head, I would have to say post mint as well but as coppercoins stated, by what? Whatever it was, it looks to have pushed the leg of the "R" to the left slightly. You can also see two small marks on the rim above the "T" if you look closely. Interesting.

It is weird... it looks like it was eaten away. It may have had corrosion at one time and then maybe cleaned.

Do you have a pic of the reverse? It is my opinion that whatever caused the marks on Lincoln, also caused the impressions by "TR" and below "S" in TRUST. It's really . I'm trying to think what could have caused that "sea sponge" look.

Back is not damaged as I suspected. Looks like the obverse marks were caused by something mechanical moving up the coin, almost like a dremel blade. The spacing is fairly consistent. I guess my Law Enforcement background makes me investigate this coin to death
