What grade would you give this? Is the obverse rim bump enough to detail this coin?

F12. It's a pretty decent bump up top and I doubt it would straight grade at a TPG, but it's not a bad coin otherwise.

F-12 to F-15. The rim bump is most likely too big to straight grade. Nice coin otherwise.

I'll say VF-20, but agree it's likely a details coin.

You guys are tough! I'm thinking VF20 along with CF. Details with the rim hit.

I'd rather buy a raw coin at a lower grade estimate and risk being pleasantly surprised than buy a raw coin at a higher grade estimate and risk being unhappily disappointed. It is simply a matter of risk tolerance. Therefore, I tend to grade conservatively, since I'm risk-averse when it comes to purchasing raw coins.

sickpuppy78501, LC's can be challenging due to strike issues especially around the ear and lower curl. I might be convinced to push this one to VF20. I don't think there is enough there to make 25 though.

folks on CCM can be brutal on LC's and 1/2C's.
