So I had noticed this AM on a 1973 P cent that seems like a wrong AM. The 73's were supposed to have the left leg of the M a little lower then the A but that seems to not be the case here. Don't believe flattening is simply the answer here either. After comparing to others I have, the M is still always visibly lower then the A on all the others I have to compare with. The design as well on the 74 has a different serif on the top loop of the C in America as the 73 does. I posted that here as well as mine and another 73 I have for comparison.

Looks normal to me. Compare to others on ebay.
Congrats on your 100 post

It's normal. Not seeing anything unusual.

Could just be circulation hits moving the metal around.

The bottom left leg on the A are also slightly different, with the '73 being significantly skinnier and the '74 also extends more to the bottom of the C

Die polishing and die wear makes letters skinnier.

Looks like you're trying to compare 73 MD to 74 MD.

The coin in question is my 73 which looks to me like it has a 74 MD. The other coin is another 73 P I'm using for comparison. And other two are PCGS'c pictures.
