JD1900, the Denver mint did not begin striking zinc cents until October 1982, so they struck copper cents for 9 months. Copper cents were struck at West Point, San Francisco, and Philadelphia - none of which have mint marks - but I can't find specific figures for how many were minted.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

all the coins you presentd above are large date copper coins, yes - pretty common. The one you (we all) want to find is the Small date Denver copper cent.

Yep, as stated, the 82-D small date copper is the rare one - I think only TWO have ever been found.

Yes, as far as I know there are still only two 1982-D small date bronze known. https://www.numismaticnews.net/worl...t-discovered is a good summary of all of these and why they happened. I recall finding all 7 a few years ago and I put them back into circulation. It's been five years since the second rare one was found. It's possible there's another one out there, but with all the people searching for them and no more found, it seems like a waste of time to me.

As a side note to what others have said, there are some Philadelphia varieties in copper. Not very valuable but fun to come across. There is one small date zinc DDR that is hard to find and desirable (moderately valuable in BU).
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
