Wow! Saw one of these at a local coin shop back in 2012. Price sticker affixed to a plastic capsule was $170. Coin appeared to be MS62/3-ish. Should have pickled it up!
Anyway, nice coin nickelsearcher!

Cramped indeed trig. So many players can take 3rd with this last round. We'll be lucky to have so many take a bronze. Good job muddler, welcome to third place. Closest guess more than $500 off....should be a good story....  "We are poor little lambs...who have lost our way...Baa...Baa...Baa"

One of the many challenges of this greatest of all internet coin games is guessing the grade of the coins presented - and hence making an informed guess on price. Then you also need to consider the purchase date - and in the classic silver commemorative series 2012 was a recent highpoint for prices. The round 9 coin .... 1925-S California Diamond Jubilee Half Dollar - PCGS MS66+/CAC This coin remains a valued member of my classic silver commemorative 50 coin type MS/CAC For GTP - We have a great fun battle ongoing for the series podium. I'm looking to sneak in with a fabulous guess on jbuck final coin. Best of wishes to all the players for the final round. |

And quite the specimen, NickelSearcher.
I'm not sure why but I had a feeling this one was going to surprise us, knowing you have some beautiful coins in your cabinet.
I also had a feeling the toning, around the Y of LIBERTY, was affecting my assessment of the grade.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I was waiting to Wednesday to put in my guess. Had a hectic day & it totally slipped my mind. That's a mistake I've made more than once & every time it's cost me at least 10 points.
