I was just curious about the street value of this EF/AU coin. You and I meet, you have the coin, and I have cash. How much?

That is not what you asked and why I replied the way I did. I know, to some extent, what you look for now and how you do it and why. No problem with that, we all change in time and what is important to us, I understand this. You said,

How scarce is this, opinions invited.
. That is a totally different question and the reason for my particular response, just sayin.

Well, there's always fun in looking at ebay completed sales information for similar examples--not asking price, but actual sold amount.

To answer Coinfrog: As to value. I would check ebay sold values to get an idea on current value, then make an offer once I see it in person.

Coinfrog, I see these regularly sell for $5-$8 in this condition in person.

The w quarters are not as scarce as people say, I know several
collectors that got over 100 from roll hunting, many completing full sets, I myself have 3 (2-66's, 1 AU-58). It's a fun find but if I wanted an MS example easy to buy 1. I know of 1 collector that has 700 W quarters. A circulated example doesn't have much value and like most clad coinage these get ugly really quick with circulation. I got 1 in change and just put it back into circulation.
