I have come across something that is out of my comfort zone but have seen posted here quite a few times. From what I have learned from previous posts, it looks like this could have been done by the mint but post-strike, possibly while being ejected. I tried to save space with the pics, so some may be small and out of normal orientation. If you need addition pics, please let me know. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Both the big scrape and the long scratch are aligned on the obverse and reverse. Obviously something was gripping or scraping the coin surface to produce those marks. When or what, I cannot say.
Thanks for the input, everyone! Just thought it was odd looking, the direction lining up with the zinc on both sides and the crumpled looking rim. It just gave me pause, probably nothing.
