A dealer I know wants to sell me some junk silvr for 8x face? Does this seem decent? If so great, cuz I plan to resell them here for like 9x face if that is also ok.

If you can get junk silver for 8x face right now, you should buy every single piece he offers you (unless they are so nasty that you cant recognize what coin it is). If you want to sell at 9x face, please PM me.

I would buy all of it at 8x face unless pieces of the coins are missing, assuming that these are 90% US coins of course. If you want to buy some to resell here for 9x, I bet you would not have any trouble selling that either if you don't want to tie up too much wealth. |

I know most of the common US circulation silver 90% ended in 1964, and '67-'68(80% - 50%) in Canada. And watch out for the 10% Pesos I've seen somewhere as investment stuff... waaayyy overpriced.  |

8X face...Deal! Most dealers in my area always try to sell at 10X face for 90% silver. Just make sure you aren't paying 8X face for 65-69 Kennedy's! I'm sure you would not have a problem selling it for 9X face.

biokemist, I am at a loss here....makes no sense at all. It is a good site and does NOT spam. At least not on my machine..
I understand some when someone exercises some caution, but just to block it, without explanation is just very unfriendly in my opinion...
but who says my opinion counts.......? I am in the dog house already...

hhbkiddo, that site spammed here repeatedly over months and under many different IDs and got very nasty with me every time I banned them. That site will never be allowed to be posted here, I don't care how good it is. Sorry, they get no promotion from me.

Am I missing something here? Jeremymh posts that a dealer he knows is offering to sell junk silver for 8X face. No dealer is mentioned. Then biokemist posts that that site is persona not grata around here. WHAT SITE? Jeremymh did not mention who the dealer is. Biokemist did not post what site he is referring to. I don't see "edit" on any posts. Am I the only one lost here?

Thank you Bobby. Read the entire thread OBJECTIVELY and you can see how someone can get confused. It felt like I was reading a thread about coins and then someone posts that the Jets made a great draft choice.
