I'm unfamiliar with this seller.
That said, this coin is easily one of the finest S-VDB Lincolns I've ever seen. The seller is a Lincoln specialist with 100% Feedback. He's a tremendous photographer, and he's presented precisely the details a knowledgeable collector would need to see to authenticate the coin.
I'm not good enough to definitively attribute the coin, but if real, it's worth every penny of the purchase price. It compares very favorably with the finest examples I'm viewing in the Heritage archives.

The difference from photo to photo is shocking. Several of the pics look AU. It's also re-colored Red in all likelihood.
In any event, if it's a problem-free MS67RD in a PCGS/NGC slab, it's worth $20K. I'd keep my money in my pocket.

ABSOLUTELY! That coin is a super nice example, the coin is 100% genuine. Tom, the seller, is a trusted Lincoln dealer. Check out the mint mark, it's perfect, you can clearly see the die chip on the upper loop of the S. Now, that said....there's a light finger print on the main obverse (right) field. The surfaces look original, they are not overly bright. I prefer that to the bright, spotless red coins that reek of being dipped. I could live with the print because other than that the coin is nearly perfect! It's definately a 66+ candidate. CDN ask for 64 $3600 and 65 $6200, it sold at an appropriate price of $4,116. Normal for a high-end, raw red coin on ebay. I think the buyer is one lucky person! I would LOVE to own that puppy.

Quote: The difference from photo to photo is shocking. Several of the pics look AU. I'm not attempting to alter your opinion, but the slightest difference in lighting is capable of causing that difference, especially with copper. If this guy made a mistake as a photographer, it's in presenting the coin under differing lighting angles, expecting his potential buyers to understand the variations. For the record, I restate that I'm in no way qualified to judge anything about this coin excepting possibly the photography.

I would see no problem in buying from this buyer. He is a Lincoln Specialist, has over 1000 positive transactions with 100% feedback. Describes the coin in depth. and Last but not Least offers a Unconditional 7 day return period!
I agree, he knows how to photo a coin.
