Not my coin, but curious if I missed an opportunity. To me it looks AU-50+ on the obverse, may even risk UNC), but the reverse seems to show some wear on the left upper area of the shield (more than the normal die wear for the variant 43-d, IMHO).

I can't help as I don't know how these are graded, but it's a really nice example. Living in NJ I want one of these coppers.

I'm sure it takes looking at these a while to get a handle on assessing them. we don't see them too often here. applying standard grading points and comparing to a couple other slabbed coins i'd take a stab at AU53/55
