This 27 is in pretty rough shape. So I thought before I put any effort in him to conserve him...I wanted to get some opinions if this in facts a DDO.
Thanks for looking and any comments!

Yeah...there sure is a lot of that for sure. I was interested in the O and D of GOD as well as WE.
Wexler's also says " Obverse: A series of short die scratches running NW to SE can be seen above the letters of WE TRUST.
idk?

With all the circulation flattening, I think you are going to have to look really hard for die markers.

Not seeing a DDO unfortunately. Just seeing circulation flattening.

This has potential. Extremely difficult to attribute in low grade, but the uneven thickness and the slight separation on GOD WE appears to be there.

I shared this post with Dan Griffin a moment ago and we are both reasonably confident this is FS-101/DDO-001/WDDO-001. Nice find!

I agree with Tanman that DDO-001 is quite hard to attribute in circulated condition. Circulation flattening can pretty much remove the separation lines and make the letters look thicker, but I also agree that this one appears to be DDO-001. It's really tough to explain, but in general on the doubled die the left side of the W of WE and the left side of the U in TRUST tend to look thicker than the right sides. But overall, it's the full-coin pic that does it for me, as the WE TRUST looks far more like the doubled die than just flattened devices.

O ya it's there, all over the obverse. A lot of flattening but it's there. The 2 and 7 convinced me.
