This listing got flagged 10 minutes after posting. Apparently it is a counterfeit. Talked to agent and they didn't know why - apparently the automated checker flagged. Agent is escalating to get a determination.
Have no clue as to why. Can't imagine a 1964 CAN 10¢ has ever been counterfeited.

Negatives? Doubtful, have them on a dozen other listings.

Text is boilerplate template - use it on all my listings. Same canned language only changing year/mint/denomination.

Anyone see something that screams counterfeit or been thrown down this path before?

You might want to double post this here and in the Canadian grading section?

ebay sometimes sends out "counterfeit" notices on violations of coin selling policy other than the coin being counterfeit.

Did you save the text you put in the description? If so, can you post it here?

Figures ebay would flag something like this rather than the dozens of obvious fakes that slip thrugh their fingers every day.

Who knows - I hate everything about them. That whole story about the execs that were/are being jailed for stalking/etc is really quite eye opening.

Listing price, $2.50. Saved someone from absolute financial ruin, they did.

NSS - already gone. But as mentioned, boilerplate text that I use on all listings. Primary difference is CAN coin and the ¢ symbol. Here is the canned descript from the template.

********************************************************

*****INSERT COIN*******

Facts:
XX% Silver
Weight: xx.xxgm
Diameter: xx.xxmm
XXX,XXX were minted this year

Coin Grading

Grading is subjective. Any grade category or range we might state is our subjective opinion based on years of experience. You must make your own decision on any grade you want to assign to this item. We highly recommend you use tools like PCGS PhotoGrade which are available online.

Zoom In

All our listing images are taken under microscope at 50 megapixels using natural lighting conditions. If we think a coin is uncirculated we will also include negatives. Negatives can show possible friction points for wear as well as emphasize the coin's luster, or lack thereof.

We offer combined shipping.

Note: Some of our lower priced items may ship using ebay Standard Envelope (ESE). ESE is a low-cost metered mail service with a different type of tracking. The only time ESE tracking is updated is when the mail piece flows thru USPS mail routing machines. USPS shares that information with ebay and subsequently, ebay populates the tracking information. The USPS reporting system is far from perfect and often, tracking updates may be slow to populate, or not populate at all. Our orders almost always process and ship in 1-2 days, you will receive a tracking number on the day it ships. If your tracking number starts with ESUS it was sent by ESE. If your item is delayed or tracking information is not updating online, feel free to send us a message and we will attempt to resolve the issue.

***********

And maybe you are correct but this email pretty much flat out says the coin is a counterfeit. Rep on phone said automated system trapped it.

Robot determined your coin was fake.

My only assumption is that it was triggered by your negative images. At least, that's the only thing I can see in your listing that I don't see in most people's listings.

Not to defend the bay,at least they did something. Facebook does not police their marketplace. Maybe try selling coins there
Just to be clear, your coin "is" genuine? If so,eBay needs to be reprimanded for defamation of character.

Its what happens when a company is managed without morals or oversight; a total GTFO situation.

I'm 90's-Ebay and remember it all. The early wild west days (Guns, rattlesnakes, saw a guy try to sell recently excavated Native American remains...) the early 'boom' days when it was all still new and anyone with half an eye could make $100K a year garage saleing on weekends... to the real apogee, circa mid 00s, to the 2010's decline to 'whatever it is now'.

They call them 'dirty circles' in organizational management; pockets of people who form subcultures within a company and are out out to do the wrong thing. In large enterprises, they're inevitable and have to be carefully guarded against but when the 'dirty circle' is the actual executive team, that's a total failure of board governance.

As a customer, seeing how dirty it was behind the curtain was the go-signal to limit activities on the site, and that's been the case since COVID. Its an occasional necessity for any collector but its a dumpster fire.

Do you trust a site where the director of trust and security was horrifically harassing two customers?

Adios to that craphole.
